Joe Metzler grew up in a family of custom home builders, learning carpentry and related skills on the job site. While his work as an architect is grounded in the practical knowledge learned working first-hand on construction sites, he has also received recognition for his design skills including numerous design awards. His projects have appeared in publications as diverse as Better Homes and Gardens and Architectural Record.
