This project provides a shelter for an Argentinean barbecue. It is situated at the corner of a terraced lawn, on the edge of the manicured section of an estate in Litchfield, CT. Two sides of the exterior room are defined by stone walls which are a continuation of the walls which run throughout the property. The timber framed roof structure with detailed joinery supports a bisected roof plane that allows late afternoon and evening sun to penetrate into the space.
