This 7500 sf health & fitness studio takes command of the ground floor of the historic American Trio Building in downtown Minneapolis. A series of slabs, walls and columns corral arenas of disparate activity in the context of raw warehouse space. A simple palette of concrete, steel & wood paints an elegant counterpoint to the brutality of the existing brick exterior on an intimate as well as monolithic scale. And then, against a backdrop of black, gray & white, the confetti of workout wear brings this old beast to life in a cacophony of animated color.
