The house was originally built in the 1970’s into a steep hillside overlooking the St. Croix River. The multi-level building has been refreshed with new windows and sliding glass doors throughout, a new main entry, new exterior siding treatments, custom metal railings and a new metal roof. The entry sequence has been simplified and mudroom more highly defined and detailed. The relocated kitchen is part of a new open plan including the family room and flexible dining area as well as opening to the living room above, all with views to the river. The new drop-leaf sideboard on castors rolls into the room when needed to provide dining seating for six. A four-stop elevator has been added to allow accessibility to all but the top level of the house.
