Designed by Wayne Branum
The site affords multiple interactions with the landscape. The main horizontal body of the building is set into the hill, from which one can experience an intimate interaction with the land. It is countered with a vertical form that places you high above the hill, with dramatic observatory views of the river valley and the roof forms of the adjacent studio. An open plan and simple yet elegant materials serve to emphasize form and complement utility.
