It’s December 2025 and the curtain closes on yet another delightful year at SALA. We’ve once again had the opportunity to assist clients in translating their dreams into spatial sets where they can stage their lives, and in that process we’ve had the pleasure of working with skilled consultants, designers, product reps and contractors without whom these stories would never come to life. And the curtain is about to open on another year!
On a personal level I wake up most every morning having spent the night designing in my sleep and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. I walk the cats in the dark these days, then have breakfast and a bath and head to work eager to test the cleverness of my nocturnal work. Sadly, I’m not very patient with the cars that aren’t as excited as mine, but I take a deep breath and realize how fortunate we are to have imaginative clients walk through our doors and trust us to guide them through their architectural adventures.
And then I realize I said “we” and am reminded that it’s not only the clients and the work that I enjoy so much it’s also my fellow workers who surround, support, and nourish each other. We once again have a rare group of bright, creative, resourceful, and generous employees who are also simply great fun to be around all day! They mostly come to SALA from different backgrounds along different paths coloring our workplace with what they have acquired in life’s journey, some short and others long.
And once again we gather for a dinner to celebrate the good fortune that has brought this professional family together to do the work we love for a wealth of interesting clients. We’d also like to share a series of scenes from our daily rehearsals and wish you all Health and Happiness in the New Year!
