SALA Architects, Inc. teamed with Dew Corporation as Construction Manager to design and deliver, on a tight schedule, a new building on the old public works site. The highly visible site required a building and yard area sensitive to the surroundings. The 67,000 square foot building employees stepped massing, materials, and landscaping to enhance the pedestrian experience as well as the neighborhood views. Sustainable practices like day lighting, water retention systems, pervious concrete and energy efficient envelope were utilized.
