Lake cabins have changed over the years, with newer retreats often dwarfing their predecessors in size. The owners of this retreat were aware of and sensitive to the context of their new home. A narrow, detached garage and gardening shed retains the scale of older, smaller cabins nearby, while the receding cluster of gables shelters the year-round activities of the homeowners and their frequent guests.
