Garden Kitchen

A whimsical light filled kitchen was added to the back of a Northeast Minneapolis home. The kitchen now flows into a glorious backyard garden, highlighted by a new cedar-clad garden shed.

In the kitchen, tilework and color take center stage. A mosaic butterfly mural, designed by artist Josie Lewis and expertly installed by Nick Reuter, graces the wall behind the stovetop. The surrounding cabinets echo that meticulous craftsmanship. The kitchen floor, by Grow House Grow, creates a tapestry of tile that surrounds the island and anchors the new space. The mudroom floor, a blend by Mercury Mosaics, sets the stage for welcoming transitions.

Beyond the house, a garden shed emerges as a tranquil haven for both hobby and relaxation. This small structure creates a symbiotic relationship with the lush back garden and provides a seamless integration of innovation and tradition.
